Who We Can Help
Sunrise provides behavioral health care and other services to adults of all ages, from 18-year-olds to aging seniors. We work with clients in every demographic.
Our mental and behavioral health services cover a wide range of conditions, from general anxiety and depression to severe and persistent mental illnesses, the first stages of dementia, schizophrenia, psychoses, mood disorders, and borderline personality disorders. Some of our clinicians specialize in areas of treatment like DBT or CBT, so we can address many different kinds of challenges.
At Sunrise, we believe in integrating services to treat the whole person. We provide a wide range of care services to address your needs.
Behavioral health challenges are very common and can affect anyone. Our goal is to provide equitable, fair care and genuine compassion to everyone we can. We are here to help!
In-Person Behavioral Health Care Options
As of March 1st, Sunrise is seeing many behavioral health clients in person again. We have moved all our clinicians back into our clinics, which has been exciting for many clinicians and clients.
Our new Behavioral Health Director, has been focused on helping Sunrise providers and clients get back to in-person care for the past few months. At Sunrise, we believe it’s very important to meet clients where they’re at, including starting to see clients in person again if they want to be seen in person.
For clients who are not comfortable going back to in-person care, you can rest assured that our telemedicine program isn’t going away. Our providers are still seeing clients who are more comfortable with remote care through telemedicine.
Building New Behavioral Health Programs (And Rebuilding Old Ones)
At Sunrise, we are working to rebuild many of the programs that were cut back or significantly changed during the pandemic, like our intensive outpatient program (IOP). We are reopening our Mount Vernon location, which includes a floor for substance use disorders treatment.
We are also starting up a medically assisted treatment opioid program, which we believe will benefit many people in our community. The program will include a significant counseling component.
Behavioral Health Care in a Pandemic and Beyond
Prior to 2020, many of our therapists and other behavioral health staff members didn’t utilize telemedicine. Moving forward, Sunrise will be able to continue using telemedicine where needed, especially for people who have difficulty with transportation or live in rural communities.
Unfortunately, after an extended period of time without in-person care options, many of us now have screen fatigue and are feeling disconnected. Therapeutic relationships are easier to build when the other person is in front of you, and a lot of those dynamics don’t translate well to the screen.
While telemedicine has been very helpful throughout the pandemic, we have found that many clients really want to get back to in-person therapy again. We are happy to be able to provide this kind of care again.
Sunrise Services delivers confidential, compassionate care to a variety of individuals. Our staff will respect your privacy and individual needs. As your partner, we will work together to build a solution that works for you.
Our organization is a leader in an integrated approach to recovery. Our highly trained, dedicated staff and strong connection with community-wide support services are designed to help you live the life you deserve.
